Design With Heart

A guided practice for designing your home to support your nervous system β€”Β  so daily life becomes easier to live inside.

Get Started

Most home advice optimizes for how a room looks.

This is something else.

Imagine moving through your morning without bracing. Without the low hum of everything you haven't gotten to yet. Without the small, constant searching β€” for the shoes, the coat, the receipt, the patience. Just a body that knows where it is, in a space that holds you up instead of pulling at you.

Β

Imagine the same kids, the same schedule, the same full life, but more of you available to meet it.

This is not a fantasy of a different life. It is the same life, designed differently underneath.

Β

Design With Heart is a structured, sequential application of one principle: stability before aesthetics.

When stability is the foundation β€” clear systems, supportive structure, predictable rhythm β€” capacity returns. Then clarity. Then creativity. Then beauty. In that order. Always.

Every module is built around that principle. By the end, you'll have stabilized one full room and have the lens to apply this work to any space, any home, any season.

This experience is for you if:

  • Your home feels heavier than it should, but you can't quite name why
  • You've tried organizing, decorating, redesigning β€” and the relief never lasts
  • You're sensitive to your environment, even if you've never put it in those words
  • You're ready to design from a different starting point than the one you've been given

It's not for you if you're looking for decorating tips, organizational shortcuts, or a one-time fix.

This is slower, deeper work β€” and it holds.

What's Inside?

Six modules, designed to be done in sequence over roughly 30 days. Move at the pace your life allows.

Module 1 β€” Choose Your Room Select one high-impact room that causes the most friction in your day. The whole course works inside this one room, which is part of what makes the shift hold.

Module 2 β€” Friction Awareness Use a guided audit to identify the specific points of environmental friction in your space β€” the small daily drains your nervous system has been absorbing without you realizing it. No changes yet. Awareness first.

Module 3 β€” Designed Stability Define what stability needs to feel like in this specific room. You'll leave this module with a clear design compass that guides every decision in the modules that follow.

Module 4 β€” Stabilizing Touchpoint Choose one small, high-impact area and fully stabilize it using a guided process. Live with the change for several days. This is where the lens stops being theoretical and starts being something your body trusts.

Module 5 β€” Room Design Apply the lens to the full room. Identify the systems operating inside it, stabilize each one, and refine the way they work together β€” flow, rhythm, sensory design, intentional beauty.

Module 6 β€” Integration Build the rhythms that maintain the work over time, and learn how to apply the lens to any other space β€” so the work compounds for the rest of your life.

Each module includes guided video lessons, original worksheets, and a clear sequence designed to be done slowly, in your own home, with your own hands.

What You'll Have When You're Done:Β

One full room, stabilized from the inside out.

A clear, repeatable lens you can apply to any space β€” your kitchen, your bedroom, your office, your entire home, every season for the rest of your life.

A nervous system that has learned what it feels like to live inside a home designed to support it.

This work doesn't end when the course does. It deepens.

About the Practitioners

We are Nicole and Kirk, the founders of Klarhet. Six years ago, weΒ left Minneapolis and built a regenerative homestead on bedrock in Northern Minnesota β€” four geodesic domes, Icelandic sheep, a permaculture food forest. The design lens taught in this course was developed by living it, slowly, on land that demanded stability before anything else could actually grow.

Nicole is a doctorate-level integrative nurse whose work focuses on nervous system regulation, conscious living, and intentional design β€” the practice of shaping environments to support the body, not strain it. Kirk is an inventor and engineer brain at heart, with a unique knack for turning wild visions into form. He is the physical force behind everything Klarhet has built to date.

The work that lives inside Design With Heart was lived first.

There is a version of your life where the home is not the thing draining you. Where the smallest moments of your day β€” making coffee, putting on shoes, settling the kids, getting out the doorβ€” are no longer asking from you, and start to give back.

Where you stop bracing against your environment and start being held by it.

That version is not built through more effort. It is built through clearer design.

This is the work that gets you there.

A NOTE ON WHAT THIS ISN'T

This isn't a checklist. It isn't a redesign plan. It isn't a course you finish and forget.

It's the structured application of a lens β€” one you'll carry with you long after the modules are complete. The work happens in your home, with your hands, at your pace.

If that's what you're looking for, you're in the right place.
